Knox Martin x Woodward Gallery: The Whaling Wall Mural Project in NYC

Right now, donations are being accepted for 88 year-old artist Knox Martin's proposed public mural at 334 Grand Street, at the corner of Grand and Ludlow streets in NYC. In collaboration with the Woodward Gallery, secured thus far are the artwork's donation, the building, and the UV, custom paint. More after the jump . . .

Simply stated, "As Basquiat creates street art while roaming the avenues of Manhattan, his encounters with luminaries like Fab 5 Freddy, The Sugarhill Gang, Debbie Harry, Jarmusch staple Eszter Balint, photographer/filmmaker Amos Poe and others fairly stagger belief."
